Hey there! I’m Lauern.
I am the owner + lead designer of Woven Blooms. Trained as a visual artist, I love working with flowers as my medium. I express my intrigue with nature by marrying different shapes, textures, and colors; enhancing the natural artfulness of each stem. I received my BFA with a concentration in textiles from Virginia Commonwealth University before moving on to an MLA from Ball State University. Blending my background in textiles and landscape design, I employ locally and domestically grown blooms to build seasonally inspired floralscapes that enhance the natural surroundings of any venue.

My Commitment: With how harsh the floral industry can be on the environment, I am committed to a more eco-friendly approach to floristry by utilizing foam-free techniques while designing, composting as much waste material possible, and sourcing as many locally grown flowers as possible. Being active in the local flower farming community is important to me and I vow to grow more of her own blooms each year.
My Ethics: I value and embrace diversity in all aspects. I offer the utmost respect to others regardless of race, sexual orientation, or religion. I feel that each individual is as unique and different as the next. These differences are what make our community stronger and more unified.

Petals For Paws
In an effort to support our local community, Woven Blooms donates a portion of its profits from each wedding booked to a local animal rescue charity of their choice. This money goes to supporting the health and well-being of all of the animals housed in the shelter, providing medical and behavioral care to the resident cats and dogs, as well as low-cost spay/neuter services and vaccine clinics available to the surrounding community.
Woven Blooms has donated over $15,000.00 since opening its doors in 2017. Our financial gift shows a deep commitment to the animals in Central Indiana.
